Food Vendors

Each year the North Texas Irish Festival invites about 25 food vendors to participate and offer their various culinary items for sale. Since we operate under the general concession contracts of Fair Park and the City of Dallas, there are a number of rules specific to food vendors.

Under our contract with the with the Fair Park concessionaire for the Automobile Building, Food vendors may not offer for sale any item that is in direct competition with the items that he sells. This includes hamburgers, turkey legs, pretzels, sausage-on-a-stick and Irish Stew.

Applications from all other vendors are welcome, however we do restrict sales of most items to one vendor each. Preference and "first refusal" will be given to returning vendors from prior years.

All food vendors will be responsible for obtaining their own permits from the City of Dallas, and the City Health Inspectors will inspect the various booths for compliance with local food and beverage service ordinances. Foods vendor not in compliance will not be permitted to open and will forfeit their booth fees.

Beverage service will be limited to soft drinks only (no alcoholic beverages of any kind) and the specific brand will be restricted to that determined by the festival organizers in December 2004.

Power, ice and water will be provided on site as requested for an additional charge.

Please contact the festival organizers for additional information.
